There are many ways to serve at Foothills and outside our church walls. Service at Foothills typically comes after someone has gone through the Starting Point group and is a covenant member of Foothills.

Family Ministries: Spend time leading a Sunday-morning small group for kids, hold babies in the nursery, or invest in the lives of middle and high school students.

Sunday-morning people team: Greet people coming in our doors, answer questions from guests, help someone find a seat, make coffee and pray.

Worship team: Share your musical talent as part of our Sunday-morning worship team, or go behind the scenes to assist with lighting, projection and sound.

Groups: Lead a small group and shepherd others as we read the Bible, pray together and enjoy fellowship. Or, open up your home and host a group.

Kitchen team: Keep our beautiful kitchen running smoothly with your organizational and neatness skills and lovingly assist various groups that use the kitchen.

Groundskeeping: Join our groundskeeping team and assist with maintenance of lawns, garden beds, trees and shrubs.

Deacons: Men and women who enter deacon service have demonstrated a deep commitment to serve the needy and suffering within our body. Deacons are appointed by elders and meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:8-13. New deacons complete a mentoring process before being publicly appointed through prayer and a laying on of hands. These folks are at the heart of our ministry and may perform such duties as funeral assistance, hospital visitation, care for widows, meals for people facing difficulties and the list goes on.

Sacred Place Renovation: Many skilled laborers in our church are in the process of upgrading our kitchen, offices, bathrooms, sanctuary and foyer spaces.

iServe: One day a year in June we launch people into our local cities to work in public spaces and places. Multiple churches come together and serve out of gratitude for what Jesus has done for us.

City leaf raking: We assist the City of Stayton in November and December to rake leaves and haul away debris for people who are unable to do the work themselves due to age or a disability.
