Beautiful weather earlier this month almost had me tricked into thinking it was summer. I hope you were able to enjoy the warmth and soak up some Vitamin D. I also hope you have been able to see and be overwhelmed by the power and goodness of God. Just having the sun shine made me pause and take note of His power.

I took this photo while out on a walk last week. Something about the scene before me begged me to take the picture. The vibrant green grass on the left,  the freshly tilled brown dirt on the right, and the vast expanse of blue sky ahead all had my attention. And then there’s the road, dirtied by tractor tracks and headed up the hill.

We all are walking on different roads, one that is specifically paved for each of us. In Tyler’s sermon on May 7, he talked about how the sorcerer and false prophet Bar-Jesus had weasled his way into speaking lies in the proconsul’s ear. How quickly these voices can lead us off track and the road paved before us!

Sisters: Let's take time this week to clear those voices from speaking lies into our own ears. Listen to the Holy Spirit. Read the Bible and allow God’s truth to speak to you. Maybe it’s getting up 10 minutes earlier for the rest of this week to read a chapter in Proverbs. Maybe it’s getting out on your lunch break and going for a walk with some worship music playing through your earbuds. We want to be a Whole Church, a church of women that listen to the Holy Spirit!

Psalm 16:11 says it this way: “You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
