When was the first time you heard about God? What if it happened early, so early that you never lived a day without believing that He really loves you? If 3-year-olds can believe God loves them, will this make a difference when they're 13? When they're 23? Could this belief change their future?
In our nursery rooms, we get a first chance to make a lasting impression about our Heavenly Father. We want kids to learn three things here:
Logistics: Nursery care is available at 9 & 10:45am, during our Sunday gatherings. Let us know if you're a guest; we want to make your visit a great experience.
940. Nine-hundred forty. That's the number of weekends we have from the time our kids are born until they graduate from high school. If your child is in third grade, they have 469 weekends left!
It happens fast. We want to partner with you to help your child discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. There are three truths we want every child to know when they leave fifth grade:
Logistics: Kids Connection classes take place on Sundays at 9 & 10:45am. Families check in at our Children's Ministry desk, then head upstairs for classes. Let us know if you're a guest - we want you to feel super comfortable here.
We'd give anything to see our kids love Jesus. As a church community, we want to see kids develop a deep, growing faith that sticks with them into adulthood. As parents, we want to help our kids develop a deep, growing faith that follows them out of our homes and into the world. Our best work is done together, as a church and families, giving our students practical ways to apply and experience the gospel of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
Logistics: Middle Schoolers meet on Sundays at 10:45am and on Thursdays, 6:30-8pm. High Schoolers meet on Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30pm. Our Wednesday- and Thursday-night student gatherings take a break during the month of August.
All-Star Preschool is here for young children in our local community. Our hope is to partner with families to give children a positive and fun educational experience.
We believe preschool should be more than just learning A, B, Cs and 1, 2, 3s. We engage the whole child through activities that stimulate their senses. We prepare students for Kindergarten by promoting self-esteem and fostering a love of reading, music and art. We employ unique, hands-on activities to introduce letters, numbers, shapes and colors and help build fine motor strength as well as gross motor skills.
A typical day's activities at All-Star include sharing, letter focus, free-choice play, teacher-directed activities, Bible time, PE, snack time and reading. Some special activities are field trips, guest speakers, bike days, baking, pajama parties, class pets and dress-up days. We welcome parent involvement in the classroom. Contact children's minister Judy Buss for information about how your child can be part of All-Star Preschool.
Unify, connect, encourage and teach. These are the actions we are cultivating as women at Foothills Church.
Unify: We seek to be passionate participators in our church and community. We want women of all ages and life seasons to gather because we thrive when we're loving one another and serving our community as we lift up the name of Jesus together.
Connect: We want to know and be known by one another--sharing our stories, joys and trials as we grow in our relationship with Jesus and each other.
Encourage: We desire to be life-givers who seek God’s purposes and plans for each other so that everything we say and do ultimately points us to Jesus as. To do this well, we must be small so Jesus can be big.
Teach: We hunger and thirst for God’s word so that not only we are transformed but we share it with others in intimate settings or large gatherings. We want to be doers of the Word and not hearers only.
These are lofty goals we are running toward as we pursue Jesus and fellowship with each other. To get there, we first need Jesus. And second, we need you. If you have a desire to be part of what we're doing, don't wait to be called. Pray about it. Then connect with us by emailing Tammy Lucas, our women's ministry leader.
Join us in praying for Women's Ministry here at Foothills as God gives us the gift of a new season together.
