People often ask,"Who is in charge around here?"  We like to tell them Jesus.

So how does that work? We take Jesus at His word, and believe He hasn’t left us as orphans. Rather, His Spirit works through us collectively to reveal Himself and His guidance for our church as we submit to Him and one another.

Within that, Foothills is an elder-led church. Our elders discern and determine God's heart and leading for Foothills. Elders then empower our staff to carry out the daily work of the church. Tim Schabel is our Lead Elder & Pastor. Darren Shryock is our Elder Chairman.

Our elders are entrusted to provide, guide and protect the church. Some of our elders are employed by the church and designated as pastors. All of our elders are a gathering of equals before Jesus and one another and fulfill different roles in accordance with their strengths and gifts.

We have a strong staff that leads our church in developing efforts to reach our community with the grace, truth and reality of Jesus Christ.
